The field of "Biomaterials and Bio-nanomaterials; Substances, Procedures and Devices for Medicine" covers the topics related to the following important classes of medical materials: oxide based materials, biopolymers and bio-composites. A special attention is paid to design of the materials (compositional and morphological), as well as advanced characterization and evaluation procedures able to predict / highlight the potential applications of these materials in medicine. Of particular interest are the topics related to 0D (nanoparticles), 1D (usually fibers, tubes, wiskers), 2D (especially flakes and films) and 3D (micro and nanostructured).
