The Romanian Journal of Materials – is the new series of the former Building Materials Journal, whose first appearance took place in 1971.
With a complex thematic and a modern approach the Romanian Journal of Materials mirrors through its published papers the research on materials science and is addressed to researchers, engineers, PhDs, masters, students and other specialists interested in this comprehensive field.
With a quarterly apparition, the Romanian Journal of Materials publishes the results of original research in the field of science of oxides and non-oxide materials engineering, bio- and bionano-materials, substances, procedures and devices for medicine, binders-concretes, ceramics, glass, composites and nano-composites, as well as papers on modelling phenomena and processes.
Its Editorial Board consists of Romanian Academy members, Romanian and foreign professors and researchers, with international professional recognition and prestige.
The proposed works are subject to peer-review by expert referees.
The Romanian Journal of Materials is included in the databases of the Institute for Science Information - ISI-THOMSON REUTERS starting with no. 1/2007, in SCIENCE CITATION INDEX EXPANDED, MATERIALS SCIENCE CITATION INDEX, JOURNAL CITATION REPORTS/SCIENCE EDITIONS, with an ISI impact factor of 0.650 in ELSEVIER’s SCOPUS database, EBSCO and ProQuest platforms, and also in Chemical Abstracts and ACI - Concrete Knowledge Center.
It is involved in a mutual exchange with important technical and scientific publications abroad.
The journal represents a real support for the materials and nano-materials science and its main objective is the promotion and dissemination of scientific Romanian results, both in Romania and abroad.
Since 2005 it is published by the Foundation for Materials Science and Engineering named Şerban Solacolu academician, founder of the Romanian School of Oxides Materials Science and Engineering.
